Pre-register for 2025 Australian High Speed Rail Conference

Pre-registration is now open for AuHSR.org's Australian High Speed Rail Conference, to be held in Sydney on 12 August 2025 from 1pm to 5pm.

High Speed Rail Authority CEO Tim Parker will lead the line-up of industry experts speaking at this year's event. Tim's keynote will update the Conference on the Business Case for a Newcastle to Sydney High Speed Rail line.

Other presentations will include:

• Productivity and economic development - wider economic impacts of HSR

• Manufacturing and construction - prospects for local industry participation and growth

• Housing supply and affordability - connecting capital cities with smaller cities and regional areas

The conference day will include two other events:

1. Value Capture Workshop for Practitioners and Policymakers (9 am to 12 noon)

In partnership with leading tax reform organisation Prosper Australia, a Value Capture Workshop will bring together value capture and tax policy experts to share their insights on improving the public's return on transport projects. The Workshop will focus on tax reform initiatives and value capture arrangements in Queensland, NSW, Victoria and the ACT.

2. Networking event (5:50 pm to 7 pm)

The conference will conclude with a networking session for attendees and speakers.
